Let Down

In the echoes of despair, where shadows are paved,

Neither can I save anyone nor be saved.

The weight of disappointment, I’ve always known,

Deep down within, it’s steadily grown.

Dreaming of a day out of this cage,

Where freedom dances, unrestrained on life’s stage.

In the shadows’ corners, a flicker is sown,

A resilient hope one day will be shown.

Solving one riddle won’t make me whole,

Many masks within my soul.

The feeling of being let down,

Deep within, I’ve always known.
